A Handicrafts Exhibition was Organized at Iğdır University

Iğdır University Organized a Panel and Exhibition on Traditional Handicrafts with International Historical, Cultural and Artistic Aspects. The panel and exhibition "Traditional Handicrafts with International Historical, Cultural and Artistic Aspects" organized by Iğdır University and Tabriz Islamic Arts University of Iran was held at the university's Karaağaç campus. In the event, which was held with the support of Iğdır University Rector Prof. Dr. M. Hakkı Alma and the contributions of Technical Sciences Vocational School Director Instr. Mustafa Öcal, Instr. Melahat Teleri and Dr. Roya Farshi Sadabadi, many works of art bearing the characteristics of Turkish and Iranian art such as beautiful calligraphy, painting, marbling, illumination, carpets, and rugs were exhibited and a panel was also held on the subject. After the exhibition opening, which was attended by a large group of guests, the panel titled "Traditional Handicrafts" moved on. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehdi Mohammadzadeh from Tabriz Islamic Arts University of Iran, Assoc. Dr. Abdollah Mirzaei, Assoc. Dr. Rahim Charkhi and Assoc. Dr. Ahad Shahhoseini, Assoc. Dr. Hüseyin Elitok from Atatürk University, Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Osman Engindeniz, Assoc. Dr. Cavit Polat from Iğdır University and Lecturer Melahat Teleri participated as speakers in the panel, which was followed with great interest. Dean of Iğdır University's Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Ömer Rıza Akgün chaired the panel, and Assoc. Dr. Mehdi Mohammedzadeh, Vice Rector of Tabriz Islamic Arts University in Iran, said; "We are very happy to be with you in Turkey, which we consider as our sister country, in the city of Iğdır at the foot of Mount Ararat" and provided information about Islamic painting and traditional painting.

Contributed by Iğdır Municipality, Lecturer Melahat Teleri and Dr. The works prepared for display by the Traditional Handicrafts Departments of Tabriz Islamic Arts University and Iğdır University Technical Sciences Vocational School were highly appreciated by the guests in the exhibition coordinated by Roya Farshi Sadabadi.
